Who Pragmatic Play is
Pragmatic Play is a games studio best known for its slots, and it also supplies live tables to operators. Details of its studios and testing come from the studio itself. On Stake, its live tables sit in the same lobby as Evolution's, and you can filter by studio. If you know its slots from our Pragmatic Play slots page, the live side is a separate product with its own look.
What it offers
Pragmatic Play's live tables, by family
| Family | What to expect | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Blackjack | Classic tables with standard decisions | Live blackjack |
| Roulette | Standard and faster formats | Live roulette |
| Baccarat | Banker, Player and Tie, with speed options | Live baccarat |
| Game shows | Mega Wheel and other wheel shows | Mega Wheel |
| Other tables | Varies over time | Check the lobby |
The selection changes. Some tables may be aimed at particular regions or languages; what you see depends on what Stake shows in its lobby. We don't list exact tables or counts because they change.
Mega Wheel
Mega Wheel is a straightforward money wheel. You bet on numbers, and each round a random segment can carry a multiplier, as the game's rules describe. There are no complex bonus games, which makes it a good first show. The game shows hub compares it with Evolution's shows.
Classic tables
Pragmatic Play's blackjack, roulette and baccarat tables are versions of the standard games, and the help panel sets out each table's rules. Before you play, check the blackjack payout, the roulette wheel type and the baccarat commission rule. Those decide the edge, whichever studio runs the table.
How it compares with Evolution
Pragmatic Play and Evolution side by side
| Pragmatic Play | Evolution | |
|---|---|---|
| Classic tables | Yes | Yes |
| Multiplier variants | Some | A large Lightning range |
| Game shows | Mega Wheel and others | Crazy Time, Monopoly Live, Funky Time and others |
| Interface | Its own layout | Its own layout |
Neither studio is "fairer". Both use real equipment on camera and publish their own licensing and testing details. Pick by rules, limits and the interface you find easiest. See Evolution on Stake for its side.
Where to start
A first Pragmatic Play session
- Filter the live lobby by Pragmatic Play.
- Open Mega Wheel or a classic table.
- Read the help panel for rules, limits and the published return.
- Watch a round before betting.
- Bet small while you learn the layout.
Limits and table choice
Pragmatic Play tables set their own minimum and maximum bets, shown on the lobby tile or in the table info. Game shows often allow small bets on each spot, which makes them easy to try. Classic tables vary more. If you want a slow, cheap session, pick a table with a low minimum and play the main bet only. Our table limits and etiquette guide explains how to match a table to your budget.
Reading the help panel
The help panel lists the rules, every bet's payout, the published return and how the table handles faults, such as a misdeal or a disconnection. On Mega Wheel, it shows the wheel layout and how the multiplier slot works. If something on our pages differs from the help panel, the help panel is right; studios update their games.
Interface tips
Pragmatic Play tables have their own button layout, so take a moment to find the chip selector, the undo and repeat buttons, and the help panel. If you switch between studios, double check your chip value before betting.
Live versus Pragmatic Play's other games
Pragmatic Play also makes RNG table games and slots. Those use a random number generator rather than a physical table, and play much faster. Our live versus RNG guide compares pace, return and trust.
Streams and devices
A stable connection matters. Lower the stream quality if the picture stutters. If your connection drops after betting closes, the table's rules decide what happens to your bet, so check the history when you're back. Our mobile guide has data-saving tips. If a round looks wrong, note the round ID, take a screenshot and contact Stake's 24/7 live chat while logged in.
A note on names
You'll sometimes see the live division called other names on other sites. On this guide we call it Pragmatic Play, which is how the studio appears in Stake's lobby.
Responsible play
Wheel shows are quick to join and easy to keep playing. Gambling can be addictive, so set a time and money limit before you start, and use Stake's deposit limits. 18+ only, or the higher legal age in your country. Stake.com isn't open in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Ontario or the other countries on Stake's prohibited list, which changes from time to time; see our availability page. Using a VPN to get around a block breaks Stake's terms. Our live dealer tips explain why betting systems don't help.
Who it suits
Pragmatic Play's live tables suit players who want classic games with a clean layout, and newcomers to game shows who'd rather start with a simple wheel than a show full of bonus rounds. If you want multiplier variants, look at Evolution's range.
