The short version
Most bonuses come with conditions. The most important one is wagering: the amount you have to bet before bonus money becomes cash you can withdraw. A bonus with heavy wagering can cost more in expected losses than it gives you. A cash balance with no bonus has no conditions at all.
We don't print bonus amounts on this page. They change, they differ between accounts, and some depend on your VIP level. Read the live terms on Stake before you opt in, and keep a screenshot of them.

Welcome offers
Stake doesn't always run a single fixed welcome bonus the way some casinos do. When an offer is live, its terms on Stake set the minimum deposit, the wagering, which games count, the time limit and the maximum bet while it's active. If any of those are missing from what you can see, ask support before you deposit.
Reading wagering, with a made-up example
Say an offer gives you 100 in bonus funds with 40 times wagering. You'd need to bet 4,000 before the bonus turns into withdrawable cash. If you play a slot with a 4% house edge, your expected cost over 4,000 of bets is about 160. That's more than the 100 bonus. The numbers here are invented to show the maths. Real offers will differ, but the method doesn't.
Questions to ask before you opt in
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| How many times must I wager it? | Sets your expected cost |
| Which games count, and by how much? | Some games may count less or not at all |
| Is there a maximum bet while it's active? | Breaking it can void the bonus |
| How long do I have? | Unfinished wagering usually expires |
| Can I withdraw my own deposit early? | Some terms lock it |
Why skipping is fine
A bonus is optional. If you just want to play a few spins or place a bet, a cash balance keeps withdrawals simple. Our step-by-step claim guide is there if you do decide to take one.
VIP-linked rewards
Several rewards depend on your VIP level. They reward volume, which is the catch: playing more to reach a tier usually costs more than the tier gives back.
