Stake VIP Club: how levels and hosts work

Stake's VIP Club moves you up levels based on how much you wager. Higher levels can bring better rewards, such as rakeback, reloads and level-up bonuses, and eventually a VIP host. The thresholds and perks are set by Stake and can change. Chasing a level usually costs more than it returns. Here's how it works.

How levels work

Your level rises with your total wagering, not with your wins or losses. Stake's VIP area is where to check your progress and what the next level needs. We don't print thresholds here because they can change.

The exact mix depends on your level and account. Our rewards guide explains how the recurring ones differ.

What a VIP host does

At higher levels, Stake may give you a host. A host can answer account questions and may tell you about offers. A host is still part of Stake's business. If a host suggests you play more, that's a sales conversation, not advice.

Don't give a host your password or 2FA code. Never share them with anyone. If someone claiming to be your host messages you from outside Stake's own channels or from a non-@stake.com address, treat it as a scam.

The maths of chasing a tier

Every bet you place to reach a level carries the house edge. Suppose you'd need to wager a large sum to reach the next tier on a game with a 1% edge. Your expected cost is 1% of that sum. A level-up reward or rakeback returns only part of that cost. Rewards soften losses. They don't reverse them.

Use VIP sensibly

  1. Set a deposit limit before you play.
  2. Treat VIP rewards as a small rebate on play you'd do anyway.
  3. Don't raise your stakes to reach a tier.
  4. Ignore countdowns and "almost there" prompts.
  5. If you notice you're playing for the next level, take a break.

When VIP becomes a warning sign

If you're tracking levels more than you're enjoying the games, or you're depositing to keep a status, it's time to stop. Our responsible gambling page lists Stake's tools and free help.

FAQ

How do I join the VIP Club?

There's usually nothing to sign up for, because levels rise with wagering. Check Stake's VIP page for your account.

Can I lose my level?

Check Stake's VIP terms. They set how levels are kept.

Is a VIP host worth it?

A host can help with account questions. It isn't a reason to play more.

Does VIP change the odds?

No. The house edge is the same at every level.
