Stake Originals: the in-house games and how fairness is checked

Stake Originals are games Stake builds itself, such as Plinko, Crash, Mines, Dice and Limbo. They're simple, fast, and many advertise around a 99% RTP class. Each round can be checked with provably fair seeds. They aren't slots, so this hub explains them on their own terms. 18+.

What makes them different

Originals are built on simple maths you can see: a win chance, a multiplier, and a small house edge. You often set the risk yourself, by choosing rows, mines or a target.

Provably fair

Each round combines a server seed (hidden until you change it), your client seed, and a counter. After the round, you can check the result was fixed before you bet.

Check a round

  1. Open the fairness panel in the game.
  2. Note your client seed and the hashed server seed.
  3. Rotate the seed to reveal the old server seed.
  4. Use the verifier to recompute the result.

Speed is the risk

Rounds take seconds, and autobet makes them faster. The edge is small per bet but it adds up quickly at that pace. Set a limit first. Compare with slots in the RTP explainer.

Stake names Crash, Limbo, Mines and Plinko as Originals on its slots page. Dice is listed as an Original by review sites; we describe it the same way here.

Why simple doesn't mean cheap

Each round shows a win chance and a payout. The difference between a fair payout and the one you get is the house edge. Stake shows each game's figure inside the game. Because you can set your own risk, it's tempting to think a clever setting beats the edge. None does. Low-risk settings win often for small amounts; high-risk settings win rarely for large ones. Over time, both cost the same share of what you bet.

Autobet

Most Originals offer autobet, with options to change your bet after a win or a loss. Doubling after each loss (Martingale) feels safe until a losing streak meets your balance or the table maximum. Set a stop-loss in autobet, or don't use it.

Who Originals suit

Players who like clear maths and quick rounds, and who will set a limit first. If you'd rather have themes and bonus rounds, try slots. If you'd rather slow down, try live casino.

FAQ

Are Originals better odds than slots?

They often advertise a lower house edge. Speed means you can lose faster.

Can provably fair be faked?

The check is designed so the operator can't change a result after you bet.

Do Originals count for bonuses?

It depends on each offer's terms.
