Stake payment methods, limits and timings

Stake is crypto-first. Its help center lists over twenty coins, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, USDT and Solana. Local currency, including card deposits, is offered in some countries only. Minimums, fees and payout times depend on the coin and change over time, so check the cashier on the day. Here's how it all fits together.

Local currency

In some countries Stake offers local currency, and card deposits work in selected currencies. Which options you see depends on your country and currency. We don't keep a fixed list because it changes. Log in and open the cashier to see what's offered to you.

Before your first deposit

Stake requires a verified email and account before you can deposit. If you don't own crypto yet, Stake links MoonPay for buying crypto by card. Read our deposit guide and set a deposit limit first.

What decides minimums, fees and times

  • Minimums. These can differ by coin, partly so the network fee doesn't eat a small transfer. See minimum deposit.
  • Network fees. Paid to the blockchain, not Stake. They rise and fall with demand.
  • Payout time. Stake's processing plus the network's confirmations. See withdrawal times and limits.

We don't print these as fixed numbers because they change. A figure that was right last month can cost you money today.

The biggest mistake

Sending coins on the wrong network. Coins sent on a network Stake doesn't support for that address aren't credited. Our crypto guide explains networks, memos and tags.

Check a payment method

  1. Log in and open the cashier.
  2. Pick the coin or currency.
  3. Note the network, minimum and any fee shown.
  4. Send a small test amount.
  5. Send the rest once it arrives.

Withdrawals and the Vault

Withdrawals use the coins and networks the cashier shows you, so the same network rules apply. The withdrawal guide covers the steps. If you want to set money aside inside your account, the Vault guide shows how.
