Crypto on Stake: wallets, networks and cashing out

Using crypto on Stake comes down to three things: a wallet you control, the right network, and patience for confirmations. Pick a coin Stake lists, copy the deposit address and network from the cashier, and send from your wallet. Coins sent on the wrong network aren't credited. This guide explains each step in plain terms. 18+.

Wallets

A wallet holds the keys to your coins. Exchange accounts are easy to start with. Self-custody wallets give you full control, along with full responsibility for your seed phrase. Never share a seed phrase with anyone, including anyone claiming to be support.

Some exchanges don't allow transfers to gambling sites. Check your exchange's rules before you send.

Buying crypto

You can buy from a licensed exchange in your country. Stake also links MoonPay for buying crypto by card. Fees for buying can be higher than network fees, so compare first.

Networks

Many coins exist on more than one blockchain. USDT is the classic example: Stake accepts it on ERC-20, BEP-20 (BSC), Polygon, TRC-20 and Solana, but not on Arbitrum, Optimism or Base. The network you pick in your wallet must match the one you picked in Stake's cashier.

Memos and tags

XRP and EOS deposits need a memo or destination tag as well as the address. Copy both. Without the tag, Stake can't tell which account the deposit belongs to.

Confirmations

After you send, the blockchain confirms the transfer in blocks. Stake credits the deposit once the network has confirmed it enough times, and the count isn't something we print here. Busy networks mean slower confirmations and higher fees.

A safe first crypto deposit

  1. Verify your email and account on Stake.
  2. Set a deposit limit.
  3. In the cashier, choose the coin and the network.
  4. Copy the address, and the memo or tag if shown.
  5. In your wallet, choose the same network, paste and check the first and last characters.
  6. Send a small test, then the rest.

Cashing out

Withdrawals reverse the process: choose the coin and network, paste your own wallet address, confirm with 2FA. Our withdrawal guide has the detail, and payment methods compares coins.

Prices move

Crypto prices change. Your balance on Stake may be shown in a coin or a display currency. If the coin's price drops while you play, the value of your balance drops with it.
