Pragmatic Play Drops and Wins on Stake: how prize drops work

Drops and Wins is a network promotion run by Pragmatic Play across many casinos, including Stake. Eligible slots and live games can pay random prize drops, and tournaments rank players on a leaderboard. Eligible games, minimum bets, dates and prize pools are set in the promotion terms, which you'll find in the game and on Stake. Terms apply. 18+.

Who runs it

Pragmatic Play, the studio, runs Drops and Wins across its network of casinos. Stake takes part. That means the rules come from Pragmatic's terms, shown in the promotion panel inside eligible games, alongside anything Stake adds. Prize pools are usually shared across the network, so you may be competing with players at other casinos too.

Two parts

Drops and Wins at a glance

PartHow it works
Prize dropsRandom prizes on qualifying spins or rounds
TournamentsA leaderboard ranks players, often by win multiplier, with prizes for top places

Both parts have qualifying rules, such as a minimum bet. The in-game promotion panel shows them.

How a prize drop works

On a qualifying spin, the game can award a random prize, separate from what the spin itself paid. You don't do anything differently to trigger it. The chance of a drop on any one spin is small.

How tournaments rank players

Tournaments usually score your best win relative to your bet, a multiplier, rather than the amount won. That's why a small bet that hits a big multiplier can rank well. It also means you can't buy your way up the board by betting big, though the minimum bet still applies. Check the scoring rule in the promotion panel before you rely on it.

What to check in the promotion panel

DetailWhy

Minimum betBets below it don't qualify
Dates and timesEach period has a start and an end, in a stated time zone
Scoring ruleHow the leaderboard ranks players
Prize pool and payoutHow and when prizes are credited

Does it change the game?

No. The slot or live game plays with its normal math. The promotion is a separate prize layer, so read the RTP in the game's info panel as a figure for the game itself, not for the promotion.

A sensible way to use it

Play eligible games without chasing drops

  1. Open an eligible game and read the promotion panel.
  2. Check your planned bet is at or above the minimum.
  3. Play your planned session at your planned stake.
  4. Ignore the leaderboard while you play.
  5. Check results after the period ends.

Don't raise your stake for it

A prize drop is a bonus on top of normal play. Raising your bet to qualify, or playing longer to chase a leaderboard place, adds house edge on every extra spin. The expected value of the promotion per spin is small.

Which games take part

Pragmatic usually includes a large set of its slots and some live games. Our Pragmatic Play slots page covers the studio, and games like Gates of Olympus and Sweet Bonanza are Pragmatic titles. For live tables from the same studio, see Pragmatic Play live tables. Whether a specific game is in the current promotion is shown in that game's panel.

Where it fits

Drops and Wins sits beside Stake's own rewards like rakeback and the weekly raffle. Our rewards guide compares them.

Reading a leaderboard

Tournament boards update during the period. A high place early on can slip as other players hit bigger multipliers. Prize tiers often pay many places, with large prizes only at the top. Since scoring is usually by multiplier, the top spots tend to go to rare, high-volatility hits. That's luck, not skill, and no strategy changes it. If you notice yourself refreshing the board between spins, it's a good moment to stop.

Time zones

Promotion periods start and end at set times, often in a time zone that isn't yours. Check the stated time zone in the panel so you know which spins count. Play after a period closes counts toward the next one, if there is one.

Live games in the promotion

When Pragmatic includes live games, the same principle applies: the prize is separate from the table's payout, and the table's house edge is unchanged. Check the live game's own panel for whether it's part of the current period.

A note on dates

Checked on 13 October 2026. Pragmatic changes periods, games and prize pools often, so verify them in the promotion panel inside the game. You need to be 18+, or the higher legal age where you live. Stake.com isn't available in the US, the UK, Australia, Ontario or the other places on Stake's prohibited list, and that list can change. Gambling can be addictive, and a prize layer doesn't change that.

FAQ
