Forgotten password
Use the forgotten password option on Stake's sign-in screen. The reset email comes from noreply@stake.com. Only use a reset link you asked for a moment ago.
Lost 2FA
If you've lost or replaced the phone with your authenticator, Stake's help center says to email recovery@stake.com from the email address on your account. Expect Stake to check it's really you before removing 2FA. That's slower than a password reset, which is the point.
Locked account
Repeated failed logins, a security flag, or a self-exclusion can lock an account. Ask support which applies. If you set a self-exclusion yourself, it's designed to hold.
Problem and fix
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Forgot password | Reset from the sign-in screen |
| Lost 2FA device | Email recovery@stake.com from your account's address |
| Social login account lost | Recover that provider's account first |
| Account locked | Ask live chat or support@stake.com |
| Suspicious "recovery" message | Ignore it and go to stake.com yourself |
Recovery scams
Locked-out players are a target. Scammers offer to "unlock" accounts for a fee or ask for your seed phrase or 2FA code. Never share your password, 2FA codes or seed phrase with anyone. Real Stake emails come from @stake.com addresses.
Avoid this next time
- Save your 2FA setup key somewhere offline and safe.
- Add a passkey as a second way in.
- Keep your account email secure with its own 2FA.
- Bookmark stake.com.

FAQ
How long does 2FA recovery take?
It depends on Stake's identity checks. Expect longer than a password reset.
Will Stake ask for my password?
Don't give it to anyone. Support can help without it.
I don't have access to my account email any more.
Contact Stake support and explain. Recovering that email account first helps.
