Super Sic Bo on Stake: three dice, multipliers and the edge

Super Sic Bo is Evolution's version of the classic three-dice game, with random multipliers added to some bets each round. You bet on totals, Small or Big, single numbers, pairs or triples. Every bet settles on one roll. Multipliers change the payouts of a few spots, so read the help panel for the current payouts and returns. 18+.

How a round works

A Super Sic Bo round

  1. Betting opens on the layout.
  2. Betting closes.
  3. Random multipliers are applied to some bet spots.
  4. Three dice are shaken.
  5. The result is read and every bet settles.

The help panel gives exact payouts. In Super Sic Bo, some of these change when a multiplier lands on them.

Multipliers

Each round, the game picks some bet spots and boosts them. If your spot is boosted and wins, it pays at the boosted amount. To fund that, the standard payouts on some spots may be lower than in classic Sic Bo, and the help panel shows them. That's the same trade as in Lightning Roulette: smaller normal wins, rare big ones.

Where the edge sits

Small and Big are usually the cheapest bets, because they win almost half the time and pay close to even money. They lose on triples, which is where the edge comes from. Totals, doubles and triples pay more but lose much more often and carry higher edges. Multipliers change these figures, and classic Sic Bo charts don't match Super Sic Bo's payouts, so treat the help panel as the only reliable source.

A worked example

Invented numbers. You bet 2 on Big for 30 rounds. Most rounds you'll win or lose 2, and your balance moves slowly. Now try 2 on a specific triple for 30 rounds: you'll probably lose all 30, but a single hit pays a large multiple. Same game, two different sessions.

Myths

Dice don't remember. A run of Small doesn't make Big more likely. The history board is for interest only. Betting systems change your stakes, not the edge. Our live dealer tips cover more.

Pace

Each round settles at once, so Super Sic Bo is quick. Quick rounds raise your cost per hour at the same stake. Plan a session length and stick to it.

How it compares

Craps uses two dice and multi-roll bets. Bac Bo uses dice in a baccarat format. If you want a single-roll game with simple bets, Sic Bo fits. The live casino hub lists the rest.

Limits

Limits vary by bet spot as well as by table. The help panel and table info show them. See our table limits and etiquette guide.

Responsible play

Long-shot bets with big multipliers are exciting, but they lose most of the time. Gambling can be addictive, so set your budget first and use Stake's deposit limits. You must be 18+, or older where the legal age is higher. Stake.com doesn't accept players from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Ontario or the rest of its prohibited list, which can change. Check the availability page, and don't use a VPN to get around a block. It breaks Stake's terms.

Why some bets pay so much

With three dice there are 216 possible outcomes. Only one of them is a specific triple, such as three fives, and only six are any triple. A specific total like 4 can be made only a few ways, while totals near the middle, 10 and 11, can be made many ways. Payouts usually follow that pattern, set a little below the true odds. That gap is the house edge. When a multiplier lands on a long shot, its payout can rise well above normal for that round, which is why the standard payout on those spots may be lower than in classic Sic Bo.

Reading the layout

The layout groups bets by type: Small and Big at the top, totals across the middle, and single numbers, doubles and triples along the edges. Lit spots show where multipliers have landed that round. It's worth spending a round or two watching before you bet, so you know where each spot is when the timer is running.

Equipment and fairness

The dice are shaken and read on camera. The studio's licensing and testing are separate from Stake's, and the studio publishes those details itself. If a result looks wrong, note the round ID and contact Stake's 24/7 live chat while logged in.

Who it suits

Players who like simple bets that settle at once, and who enjoy the occasional long shot. If you want decisions, try live blackjack. If you want a slower dice game with a story to each round, try craps.
