Stage one: email and account
You can't deposit until your email and account are verified. The email comes from noreply@stake.com. If it doesn't arrive, check spam and resend it from your account.
Stage two: identity checks
Stake's terms let it ask for proof of age, and it may also ask you to confirm your identity. Stake doesn't publish what triggers a check. At online casinos in general, common moments are a first withdrawal, a large transaction, or details that don't match. A check isn't an accusation. Licensed operators run them to meet their regulator's rules.
What to prepare
Casinos usually ask for a photo ID and something that shows your address. The request in your Stake account will say exactly what's needed. Make sure the name and address match what you entered at sign-up.
Getting uploads accepted
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Blurry or dark photo | Good light, steady hands |
| Corners cut off | Show the whole document |
| Edited or cropped | Upload the original |
| Name doesn't match the account | Contact support before uploading |
| Expired document | Use a current one |
Complete a verification request
- Open the verification request in your Stake account.
- Read which documents are requested.
- Upload clear, uncropped photos of each.
- Wait for Stake's reply in your account or from an @stake.com address.
- Answer follow-ups only inside Stake or from @stake.com emails.
How long it takes
It depends on the queue and on whether your documents are clear. We don't quote a time because it varies. If it's been a while, ask live chat for an update rather than uploading again.
Protect your documents
Only upload through Stake's own site. Never send ID to someone who contacts you first, even if they claim to be Stake. Stake's real emails come from @stake.com addresses.
Plan ahead
If you expect to withdraw, finishing verification early saves waiting later. See how to withdraw.

Is it safe to send ID?
Only through Stake's own site. Never by reply to an unexpected message.
